US 90 westbound between Ambassador Caffery Parkway and the LA 182 overpass will have alternating lane closures the nights of Wednesday, September 5 through Saturday, September 8, due to construction.

This work is estimated to take place nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.

As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening US 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along US 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in summer 2018.
