LANE CLOSURES: I-20 from Texas state line to Exit 3 (LA 169) in Caddo Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effectively immediately, the inside lanes will be closed on I-20 from the Texas state line to Exit 3 (LA 169) in Caddo Parish. This includes both the eastbound and westbound lanes. The closure will be to allow for the widening of a bridge at this location. Once the bridge is widened - allowing traffic to be shifted – the full reconstruction of this portion of I-20 will begin.

The bridge phase of construction is anticipated to last approximately 60 days, weather permitting. Additional time will be required for the reconstruction of the roadway.

These lane closures are part of the project to mill and overlay I-20 from the Texas state line to just east of Monkhouse Drive in Caddo Parish. Motorists are advised to drive with caution approaching and through the work zone, as traffic congestion may accumulate during peak times.

Alternate Route: Width restrictions will be 12 feet. Alternate route will be US 80.

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Safety Reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
