ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces lane closures have been canceled for Thursday, July 19, 2018, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., as part of a $400,000 project to install pavement markings associated with the recent concrete work on the Hale Boggs (Luling) Bridge, from La. 48 to La. 18. Due to the bridge being too wet following last night's rain event, the work and associated closures will be rescheduled at a later date.

The contractor is C.E.C., Inc. The project is estimated for completion in its entirety in July 2018.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
