UPDATE: Due to the inclement weather last night, restriping will take place Friday, July 6 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thank you for your patience.

I-10 westbound between LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia – Exit 115) and LA 3177 (Butte LaRose – Exit 121) will have alternating lane closures on Thursday, July 5, to allow crews to restripe the travel lanes.

This work will take place nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
