Paths to Progress to hold neighborhood informational meeting for upcoming Clearview Parkway project

 

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s (DOTD) Paths to Progress will host a neighborhood informational meeting to discuss upcoming repairs the Clearview Parkway street segment scheduled for construction later this month.

 

The meeting for the following street segment will be on Monday, September 16 at 6 p.m., in the fellowship hall of John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 4201 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, La 70006:

·         Clearview Parkway (Veterans Boulevard – Kawanee Avenue)

 

Construction for the $700,000 project is anticipated to begin on September 23, 2013. Repairs will include resurfacing, repairing curbs and installing ADA-compliant accessible ramps.

Business owners, elected officials and all interested residents are encouraged to attend the informational meeting to find out more about the schedule and construction events that will take place in their area.

 

Project personnel will be on hand to provide the latest information on Paths to Progress, details of the upcoming street repairs and a construction schedule. The meeting will commence with a brief presentation, followed by an opportunity to ask questions and view project maps and other materials.

Paths to Progress is a transportation improvement program to rehabilitate, restore and enhance more than 60 roadway segments in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. With a combined investment of over $90 million, Paths to Progress is a collaborative effort between the Federal Highway Administration, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, New Orleans Regional Planning Commission and City of New Orleans.
