UPDATE: The closure scheduled for the nights of Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3 have been rescheduled to the following nights:

  • Thursday, July 5 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.

  • Friday, July 6 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.


The left lane of I-10 eastbound from I-49 to LA 176 will be closed Monday, July 2 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. and Tuesday, July 3 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.


This closure is necessary to allow crews to install temporary concrete rails and perform shoulder replacement.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).


The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
