St. Martin Parish – LA 328 (Rees Street) Northbound and Southbound under I-10 Overpass – Road Closure

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on Monday, April 9, LA 328 (Rees Street) in both northbound and southbound directions under the I-10 overpass, approximately 6 miles east of LA 347, will be closed for bridge deck pouring.
This closure is estimated to take place from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
There are no restrictions for permit loads.
The detour for northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to LA 347 then I-10 westbound to LA 328 north.
The detour for southbound traffic will be I-10 westbound to Louisiana Avenue then I-10 eastbound to LA 328 south.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
