St. Martin Parish – LA 328 (Rees Street) Northbound and Southbound under I-10 Overpass – Road Closure

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on the nights of Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, LA 328 (Rees Street) in both northbound and southbound directions under the I-10 overpass, approximately 6 miles east of LA 347, will be closed for the installation of pavement markings.
This closure is estimated to take place nightly from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
There are no restrictions for permit loads.
The detour for northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to LA 347 then I-10 westbound to LA 328.
The detour for southbound traffic will be I-10 westbound to Louisiana Avenue then I-10 eastbound to LA 328.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
