LA 42 Widening and Improvements, Lane Closures

Construction is ongoing for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be multiple lane closures along LA 42 beginning Saturday, March 3rd. These closures will last the remainder of the weekend (March 3rd & 4th) and are as follows:

• LA 42 At Lake Harbor subdivision: Single Lane Closure- Work in this area consists of subsurface drainage work. A flagging operation will take place at this location.

• Additionally, a full road closure will take place at the intersection of LA 42 and LA 44. Work in this area consists of installation of subsurface drainage crossing LA 42 and LA 44. Closures will be eastbound and westbound directions along LA 42. LA 44 will also be closed at this location.
Traffic will be detoured along LA 933 to Parker Road to AP 929 while LA 44 @ LA 42 is temporarily closed on March 3 and March 4, 2018.

No permit or oversize loads along with emergency vehicles will be able to pass.
