Lafayette Parish - LA 182 between St. Etienne Road and Westbound Frontage Road - Road Closure

Broussard, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that beginning Wednesday, February 14 until Friday, February 16, LA 182 beneath the overpass between St. Etienne Road and westbound Frontage Road, will be closed to traffic for necessary construction work on the US 90 bridge over LA 182 in Broussard, LA.
This work is estimated to take place nightly from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
The detour route will be St. Nazaire and LA 96.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.
DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.
As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening U.S 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along U.S. 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in summer 2018.
