The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that the O.K. Allen Bridge (bridge number 840-43-0125-1) on US 71/165, will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 9:00 pm and will reopen at 6:00 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. The closure for this one evening is related to the ongoing construction of the new Fort Buhlow Bridge.

Recommended detour via I-49 and US 167 (Purple Heart Memorial Bridge).
