LA 308 North of US 90 in Lafourche Parish
This is to advise that on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at 2 PM, LA 308 will be closed to traffic between US 90 and LA 182 in Raceland until further notice. The reason for this closure is due to a structural problem with the existing timber bridge located on LA 308, approx. 1.2 miles north of US 90. The bridge needs to be closed for emergency repair work.
Alternate route:
Southbound Traffic on LA 308: Southbound traffic on LA 308 in Raceland should turn right on the LA 182 bridge in Raceland crossing Bayou Lafourche, and then turn left on LA 1 and head south. Traffic should continue south on LA 1 for an approximate distance of 5 miles, and then turn left and cross the Mathews bridge crossing Bayou Lafourche at the intersection of LA 308 & LA 654 (Gheens road). Local Traffic then can turn left onto LA 308 northbound and proceed up 2.8 miles to US 90.
Northbound Traffic on LA 308: Northbound traffic on LA 308 in the Gheens area should turn left onto the Mathews Bridge crossing Bayou Lafourche at the intersection of LA 308 & LA 654, then turn right onto northbound LA 1 and proceed north for a distance of 5 miles, then turn right on LA 182 in Raceland at the bridge crossing Bayou Lafourche. Then local traffic can turn right onto LA 308 southbound.
