LA 42 Widening and Improvements, Lane Closures **Lane Closure Update**

** The lane closure listed below has been rescheduled from January 27th to February 3rd.**
Construction has begun for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be a lane closure @ the intersection of LA 42 & US 61 on Saturday, January 27th. Work in this area consists of installation of subsurface drainage crossing LA 42. Closures will be eastbound and westbound directions along LA 42 between US 61 & LA 73. Detours will be in place for motorist to access LA 73 via LA 427 (Old Perkins Rd.). Work in this area affecting LA 42 is expected to last approximately one day, weather permitting. No permit or oversize loads along with emergency vehicles will be able to pass.
