Lafourche Parish- La 308 & La 657-RESCHEDULED DUE TO WINTER WEATHER

The New Larose Lift Bridge over Bayou Lafourche between LA 308 and LA 657 will be closed overnight to vehicular traffic from 7:00 pm Wednesday January 24, to 6:00 am Thursday, January 25 , 2018. This closure is necessary to allow DOTD contractors to replace the balance chain pins on the counterweights. This work is part of a $658,000 project to replace mechanical components on 4 vertical lift bridges in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Iberia Parishes.
Alternate routes around the closure are as follows:
The LA 3220 swing bridge (Belle View Bridge) 10.4 miles north in Lockport.
The Galliano Lift Bridge on LA 3162 8.1 miles south.
