The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on Monday, January 8 and Tuesday, January 9, there will be approximately 15-minute intermittent lane closures of the eastbound and westbound left lanes of I-10 from the Vermilion River Bridge to LA 176 (Moss Street), for the removal of signs.

This closure is estimated to take place nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.

There are no restrictions for permit loads.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
