UPDATE # 2 OPEN -I -55 North and South bound between Ponchatoula and LaPlace are now open.
UPDATE # 1 NOW OPEN......I-55 south bound between Ponchatoula and LaPlace is now OPEN. I-55 North bound is being inspected for ice and will open when conditions allow.
Motorist may use old US 51 as detour.
