The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed construction of two (2) J-Turns at the intersection of US 165 and US 84 near the Village of Tullos in LaSalle Parish. The purpose of the project is to reduce the potential for high-speed, severe crashes at this intersection. By restricting the turning movements and conflict points at this intersection, it is anticipated that the number of potentially severe crashes would be reduced with this project.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. There will be a continuous multi-media presentation about the project. Additional project information will be available. Representatives from DOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. Oral and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the DOTD address shown below, postmarked by November 21, 2017.
