The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the westbound inside lane of I-10, from the Louisiana Avenue Exit to the LA 176 (Moss Street) Overpass, will be closed beginning Monday, October 16 through Wednesday, October 18, for the demolition of the concrete bridge rail on the inside shoulder of the LA 176 (Moss Street) Overpass.

This closure is estimated to take place nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.

There are no restrictions for permit loads.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
