Terrebonne Parish-La 315 Dularge Bascule Bridge

The Dularge Bascule Bridge crossing the Intracoastal Canal Waterway (ICWW) on LA 315 in Houma, LA will be reduced to one travel lane from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. beginning on Monday October 16, 2017 until Friday October 27, 2017. These lane closures are needed in order to allow for personnel to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the bridge’s structural, mechanical and electrical components. The inspections will be conducted Monday thru Friday during this two (2) week period. During lane closure times and dates, the roadway width will be reduced to 12 feet, therefore, oversized loads will be required to utilize alternate route(s). Outside of these aforementioned times, the bridge will be under normal operation.
Alternate routes available for crossing the ICWW are:
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 57 (Grand Caillou Road) to LA 3040 (Tunnel Blvd.) to U.S. 90 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 57 (Grand Caillou Road) to LA 24 (Twin Span Bridge) to U.S. 90 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
