UPDATE: Tolls Reinstated at LA 1 Effective Immediately

Tolls reinstated at LA 1 effective immediately.
LEEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that tolls at the LA 1Expressway near Leeville are suspended, effective immediately, until further notice in anticipation of Tropical Storm Nate, which is expected to upgrade to a hurricane before making landfall this weekend.
La. 1 serves as the sole evacuation route for lower Lafourche Parish and the barrier island of Grand Isle. It is also the only access route to Port Fourchon.
An announcement will be made when tolls resume.
