The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 457, Latanier, Rapides Parish, IS NOW OPEN at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track.

Mile Post 4.880; Control Section 073-05
DOT # 335-006 T
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 457, Latanier, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track. The work is being done at milepost 4.880 and is on control section 073-05.
There are three scheduled days of closures, September 25, 2017. The closures will start on Monday, September 25, 2017, from 7:00 AM with a re-opening to traffic at 7:00 PM on Monday, September 25, 2017. The closure is for Kansas City Southern Railroad to replace the cross ties thru the crossing.
Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time.
Detour Route:
The detour will be LA 457 to LA 3170 East to LA 1 North to LA 457.
The detour can accept oversized loads.
The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public.
All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
