Lafayette Parish - I-10 Westbound @ Louisiana Avenue Overpass (I-10 Widening Project, State Project No. H.003003) – Lane Closure

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, September 6, until Friday, September 8, the inside westbound lane of I-10 from the Vermilion River Bridge to the Louisiana Avenue Overpass will be closed for the demolition of the Louisiana Avenue bridge deck.
The closure is estimated to take place nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
There are no restrictions for permit loads.
DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge. The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
