RESCHEDULED Lafayette Parish - I-10 Westbound and Eastbound @ Louisiana Avenue (I-10 Widening Project, State Project No. H.003003) – Lane Closure

This closure has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. The closure is now scheduled for Wednesday, September 6, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that on Wednesday, August 30, there will be a rolling road closure starting at 8:00 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes on the westbound and eastbound lanes of I-10 at Louisiana Avenue Overpass while crews remove an overhead electrical wire. Delays should be minimal.
DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge. The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
