US 167 ACCESS MANAGEMENT (LEFT TURN LANES)
VERMILION AND LAFAYETTE PARISHES
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed construction of ten (10) U-Turn Only, eighteen (18) U & Left Turn, seven (7) Left Turn Only, and four (4) Right Turn Only turns along US 167 from the northern end of the Village of Maurice in Vermilion to Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette. The purpose of the project is to improve safety by eliminating unsignalized full access median openings and providing access alternatively via partial median openings and U-Turns.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. Representatives from LADOTD will be available to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. A continuous presentation will be shown describing the project. Verbal comments can be recorded and written comments on the projects can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the LADOTD address shown below, postmarked by September 14, 2017, to be included in the transcript of this meeting. The public meeting will be held on:
