Livingston Parish is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed Cook Road widening and extension project connecting Pete’s Hwy (La Hwy 16) to Juban Road (La Hwy 1026) in Livingston Parish. The project proposes to widen Cook Road by the addition of one lane in each direction (creating 4-lane boulevard); removing and replacing existing roadway surface and base; installation of two bridges and a box culvert installation for roadway crossings of existing creeks. The project will also include intersection improvements at Cook Road and Pete’s Hwy.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. There will be a continuous multi-media presentation about the project. Additional project information will be available at the meeting. Representatives from the Parish and the consultant team will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. Oral and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the Parish address shown below, postmarked by September 8, 2017. The public meeting has been scheduled as follows:
