Both directions LA 48 (River Road) between I-310 and Ormond Blvd in Destrehan, a single lane closure with flagging operation and shoulder work from Monday, July 31st to Friday, August 4th from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm daily and from Sunday July 30th to Thursday August 3rd from 6:00pm to 6:30am each night, while work crews perform Drainage, Concrete, Roadway Widening and Asphalt work.
This closure will allow vehicles 12-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone. Road is open for regular traffic.
No detour is needed, expect some delays.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
