The closure for LA 352 at its intersection with LA 347 to approximately 120 feet east of the LA 347/LA 352 intersection is NOW OPEN!!

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, July 5 until Thursday, July 13, the westbound outside and shoulder lanes of I-10 from the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge to LA 347 will be closed for construction work.

The closure is estimated to take place nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

There are no restrictions for permit loads.

The nearest detour route is US 190.

Additionally, DOTD announces that beginning Wednesday, July 5, LA 352 will be closed beginning at its intersection with LA 347 to approximately 120 feet east of the LA 347/LA 352 intersection.

The turn lane from LA 347 onto LA 352 will also be closed.

Work is estimated to take place from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day, except Sunday. This work is estimated to last 30-45 days.

The detour route for this closure is LA 349 (Nina Highway) to LA 347.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project. This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing the lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from La. 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
