EASTBOUND (A.K.A. SOUTHBOUND) LANE CLOSURE - LA 308 - LAFOURCHE PARISH

LA 308 Southbound lane will be closed at the bridge located 1.9 miles south of JCT LA 654/LA 308, near McCloud Road just south of Lockport beginning Monday, July 10 at 7:00 am and will remain closed until Monday, July 17 at 9:00 am. This closure is necessary for DOTD’s contractor to replace the southbound concrete guardrail base and guardrail on the bridge. This is a continuous closure for southbound traffic ONLY. Local traffic will be allowed up to the closure location. LA 308 Northbound traffic through the workzone will not be affected.
Alternate routes around the work zone are as follows:
Southbound: Trucks should detour at LA 654 to LA 1 and then south to LA 3220 and back onto LA 308. Cars may detour at LA 654 or LA 655 to LA 1 and then south to LA 3220 and back onto LA 308.
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
