The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that the work scheduled to begin at LA 497, Glenmora, Rapides Parish, on June 17 - 19, 2017, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. We will advise the public as soon as that date has been determined.

LA 497; Glenmora, Rapides Parish
Mile Post 0.140; Control Section 840-45

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 497, Glenmora, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad track. The work is being done at milepost 0.140 and is on control section 840-45.
There are three scheduled days of closures, June 17-19, 2017. The closures will start on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 6:00 AM with a re-opening to traffic at 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The other closures will be the following days: Sunday, June 18, 2017 and Monday, June 19, 2017, with closures starting at 6:00 AM and re-openings at 6:00 PM. The closure is for Union Pacific Railroad to replace the cross ties thru the crossing.
Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time.
Detour Route:
The detour will be LA 497 to US 165 North to LA 112 East to LA 497 South.
The detour can accept oversized loads.
The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public.
All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
