The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 464 Asphaltic Concrete Overlay Project on Wednesday, June 12, 2017 and will continue for approximately (4) four months. The contractor intends to begin replacing existing cross drain pipes within the existing roadway with other items of work to follow. This asphaltic concrete patch and overlay project is located on LA 464 and begins at its intersection with LA 8 and ends at its intersection with Parish Road 30. This 6.08 mile long project will receive drainage structures, cold planing asphaltic concrete, pavement patching, pavement widening, superpave asphaltic concrete overlay and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Prairie Contractors Inc., in the amount of $1,754,821.65.
Permit/Detour Section
There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times.
