The Golden Meadow Bridge (LA 308) crossing Bayou Lafourche in Golden Meadow, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8:30 a.m. today, Wednesday May 17, 2017 until no later than 7:00 p.m. on Thursday May 18, 2017, barring any unforeseen delays. This closure is required in order to allow DOTD’s bridge maintenance personnel to remove, repair and re-install a driveshaft and coupling system which is a vital component in the operation of the bridge. The bridge will remain in the “open to marine” position until the repairs are completed.
Alternate bridges available for crossing Bayou Lafourche are: New Larose Vertical Lift Bridge, 15.1 miles north of the project, and the Galliano Vertical Lift Bridge, 6.6 miles north of the project.
