THE BELOW ROUTE IS NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC.
NEW IBERIA, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transporation and Development (DOTD) announces that effective immediately LA 83, between Lydia and Weeks Island, is closed due to downed power lines and trees.
The closure will be updated as soon as conditions improve.
DOTD reminds motorists to please drive with caution and use alternate routes to avoid this area.
DOTD regrets any inconvenience this closure may cause and appreciates your patience.
