Update: All work was completed ahead of schedule. The closure for the evening of May 10th has been canceled.
LA 46 at the Bayou La Loutre Bridge (Yscloskey Bridge) will be closed to all marine and vehicular traffic on May 8th, May 9th and May 10th, nightly from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM for crews to remove and replace the existing timber fender system under the lift span.
The bridge will be closed to all marine and vehicular traffic. There are no available alternate routes for vehicular traffic. Government offices have made arrangements to provide emergency response services during the closure.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
