UPDATE: LANE OPEN AT LA 27/82 – MILEPOST 44 – CAMERON PARISH

The road at LA 27/82 at Milepost 44 approximately 2.8 miles east of Holly Beach which was closed is now open.

These lane closure(s) will be in place 24 hours a day, for a period of 14 consecutive days. The eastbound lane will be closed first, followed by the westbound lane.

Through traffic will be maintained in both directions via the use of flagmen. The lane width(s) will be reduced to 12 feet; therefore, oversized loads are required to utilize alternate route(s).

The closures are necessary for the installation of pipe across LA 27/82, for phase one of a marsh creation/restoration project.

Motorists can expect delays through the work zone during this period. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
