Terrebonne Parish- La 3040- Houma Tunnel

The Houma Tunnel crossing the Intracoastal Canal Waterway (ICWW) on LA 3040 in Houma, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21st, to 6:00 a.m. on Monday April 24th. This closure is needed in order to allow the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Department, to clean, perform general maintenance tasks and make certain improvements to the Tunnel’s appearance.
Alternate routes available for crossing the ICWW are:
LA 24/LA 659 (Twin Span Bridge) and LA 315 (Dularge Bridge).
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through and around the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment in the general area around the Tunnel.
