Terrebonne Parish- La 3040 Houma Tunnel

The Houma Tunnel crossing the Intracoastal Canal Waterway (ICWW) on LA 3040 in Houma, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily from Monday April 17, 2017 thru Thursday April 20, 2017. This closure is needed in order to allow LADOTD’s consultant inspection personnel to perform a comprehensive inspection of the entire tunnel which includes structural, electrical and mechanical components.
Alternate routes available for crossing the ICWW are:
LA 24/LA 659 (Twin Span Bridge) and LA 315 (Dularge Bridge).
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
