LA 44 ROAD CLOSURE IN GONZALES, ASCENSION PARISH, H.01840.6

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Thursday, March 23 at 9:00 am through Monday, March 27 at 5:00 a.m. All lanes of LA 44 will be closed in Gonzales at the Kansas City Southern Railroad crossing. This closure is needed for Kansas City Southern Railroad crews to repair the existing railroad approaches, and for DOTD's contractor to perform asphalt operations to improve the LA 44railroad crossing. Motorist will be required to select alternative routes.
No permit or oversize loads along with emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
