INSPECTIONS TO TAKE PLACE ON SIGN TRUSSES THROUGHOUT DISTRICT 04
This is to advise motorists that the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation & Development (DOTD) has contracted with a consulting firm to inspect sign trusses along state roadways across District 04.
This includes Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, DeSoto and Red River Parishes.
During some of this work, the contractor will be climbing on the trusses for hands-on inspections in order to verify the safety and structural stability of both the over-hanging truss and the foundation.
Many of the trusses are located along the interstate system and, at times, these climbers will conduct the inspections directly over live travel lanes.
There will be intermittent shoulder closures on various state roadways while this work is being performed, which is expected to continue through the month of May.
