A ceremony marking the designation of the “Officer Thomas LaValley Memorial Bridge” will take place Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. on the La. 154 bridge in Bossier Parish.
House Bill No. 110 of the 2016 Regular Session, authored by Louisiana Rep. Dodie Horton, designates the La. 154 bridge crossing the south end of Lake Bistineau to the Shreveport policeman, who was killed in the line of duty Aug. 5, 2015.
The ceremony will take place at the southeast corner of the bridge on La. 154.
