Butte La Rose, LA. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that on Saturday, September 24, the right lane of I-10 Eastbound over the Atchafalaya River will be closed from milepost 121.6 to 122.4 to allow crews to perform routine bridge inspections on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The work is estimated to take place from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The proposed closure is subject to change and may be re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are encouraged to utilize an alternate route, as delays are expected.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience and encourages motorists to be on the lookout for crews and their equipment.
