LA 44 (St. James Parish) Road Closure

LA 44 (ST. JAMES PARISH) – A road closure will take place on LA 44 on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 7:00am to 12:00 pm and Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 7:00am to 12:00pm. No thru traffic will be allowed to pass during this road closure.
The closure will be 3 miles south of LA 70 on LA 44 (River Road).
The closure is necessary to move a large crane across LA 44 at the Zen-Noh Grain Facility.
Alternates routes are available. Motorists should detour LA 44 to LA 70 then LA 3125 to LA 3214 or LA 3214 to LA 3125 then LA 70 to LA 44.
