The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday August 15, 2016 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, the left turn lane and crossover on MacArthur Drive (US 71 Southbound) immediately south of the Traffic Circle will be closed. In addition the adjacent crossover on MacArthur Drive (US 71 Northbound) will be closed. The affected crossovers serve as access to the west entrance of the Alexandria Mall, located near Captain D’s Seafood. These temporary closures are needed for widening of the service road connection.

There are no designated detours at this time associated with this project.
