LAFAYETTE, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that on Sunday, August 21, 2016, I-10 will be closed at milepost 103 (between the University Avenue Interchange and the I-49 Interchange) in both eastbound and westbound directions for approximately 30 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., to allow LUS crews to pull a power line across I-10, in Lafayette Parish. The time frame may vary slightly, depending on weather and any visibility issues.

Law enforcement will be posted Eastbound at University Avenue and Westbound at I-49, where traffic will be forced to exit during this time frame. Multiple potential detours are available including, LA 182 (University Avenue) to Willow Street, to US 167 (Evangeline Thruway).
