The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that beginning Monday, July 25, LA 31 (Main Highway) between LA 351 (Ruth Bridge Highway near Parks) and LA 336-1 (West Bridge Street in Breaux Bridge) will be reduced to one lane in alternating directions for roadway construction. This work will occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Construction on this section of roadway, including alternating lane closures, will continue through the scheduled completion in September 2016.

All lanes will be opened at night and on weekends.

Permit loads are restricted to 16 feet in width. Emergency vehicles have access through the area.
