The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that Interstate 10 eastbound and westbound, in Lafayette and Acadia Parish, will have alternating lane closures on Friday, July 8 until Saturday, July 9, for a herbicide spraying operation, weather permitting.

If weather cancels the operation then crews will finish the following night.

The work is estimated to take place from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

All permit and oversize loads along with emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass. There will be no detour required.
