UPDATE: St. Martin Parish - Temporary Closure of the Atchafalaya Rest Area and Welcome Center on I-10 - NOW OPEN

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on Tuesday, June 28, the Atchafalaya Rest Area and Welcome Center on I-10 in St. Martin Parish will be closed at 7:00 a.m. for the installation of electrical service equipment.
The closure will affect the restroom facilities and Visitor’s Center as there will be no power or water service available. The grounds shall remain open to visitors and truckers for short-term parking only. The boat launch shall remain open.
This work is has been extended and expected to be completed and power restored by Wednesday, June 29 at 6:00 p.m.
