The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the Marthaville Road Bridge Replacement Project on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 and will continue for approximately (4) four months. This bridge replacement project is located on Marthaville Road over Bayou Dupont which is approximately 1.8 miles north of the intersection with Patton Road and 6.35 miles south of the intersection with Buster Lewis Road. This 0.074 mile long bridge replacement project will receive clearing and grubbing, drainage structures, class II base course, superpave asphaltic, precast prestressed concrete slab span bridge, precast concrete piles and related work.

The project was awarded to the low bidder, W.E. McDonald & Son, LLC in the amount of $863,229.00.

Permit/Detour section
The contractor will remove the existing bridge on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 and the roadway will be closed to all local and through traffic for the duration of the project.
