07/08/2016 UPDATE: All work on this project has been completed.
7/1/16 UPDATE: At 1:00 PM, LA 854 was reopened to traffic. Note that minor work is still occurring at this location so be aware of the construction workers and flaggers as they finish this area.
UPDATE: This closure has been moved to begin on Monday, June 20, 2016.
Beginning Monday, June 13, 2016, LA 854 will be closed approximately 1.5 miles east of its junction with LA 183. The purpose of this road closure is to allow contractors to replace a drainage structure beneath the roadway. The extent of this road closure is anticipated to be 30 days.
Permit/Detour Section
The detour route around this road closure will be accessed using LA 183, US 80, and LA 17.
