Weekend Ramp/Lane Closure
There will be intermittent ramp closures of the I-59 Northbound Exit Ramp (Exit 267B) to I-12 Westbound Friday, April 1, 2016 from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. There will also be intermittent ramp closures on Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. All lanes to be open Monday, April 4, 2016 at 7:00 a.m. (weather permitting) while crews repair bridge rail and overlay the roadway.
There will be intermittent ramp closures of the I-12 Eastbound to I-59 Northbound Exit Ramp (Exit 85C) beginning Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. until Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1:00 a.m. (weather permitting) while crews install asphaltic concrete roadway.
There will be a complete ramp closure of the I-59 Southbound (Exit 1B) to I-10 Eastbound Exit Ramp beginning Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. until Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting) while crews clean and seal concrete joints. All lanes will re-open Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 5:00 p.m..
There will be closures of the inside (left) and outside (right) lanes of I-10/I-12/I-59 on Friday, April 1, 2016 through Monday, April 4, 2016 (weather permitting) while crews overlay the roadway at the following locations:
• I-59 Northbound outside (right) lane between I-10/I-59 split (Mile Post 0) and just south of the I-59 Rest Area (Mile Post 1) from 10:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 to 12:00 Noon Monday, April 4, 2016. All lanes will re-open Monday, April 4, 2016 at 12:00 noon.
• I-59 Southbound between I-10/I-59 split (Mile Post 0) and I-59 Rest Area (Mile Post 1) from 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016. All lanes will re-open Monday, April 4, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
• I-10 Eastbound between the French Branch Bridge (Mile Post 267.14) (just north of Gause Blvd.) and the West Pearl River Bridge (Mile Post 269.81) (near the I-10 Welcome Center) from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday through Sunday. All lanes will be open between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily.
• I-10 Westbound between the West Pearl River Bridge (Mile Post 269.81) (near the I-10 Welcome Center) and the French Branch Bridge (Mile Post 267.14) (just north of Gause Blvd.) from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday through Sunday. All lanes will be open between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
Permit/ Detour Section
Motorists traveling I-59 Southbound to I-10 Eastbound will need to exit to US 190 Fremaux Road (Exit 267), left on US 190, and east on to I-10 Eastbound.
Motorists traveling I-59 Northbound to I-12 Westbound will need to exit to LA 1090 (Exit 3), west on LA 1090 to I-59 Southbound, south on I-59 to I-12 Westbound (Exit 1A).
Motorists traveling I-12 Eastbound to I-59 Northbound will need to exit to I-10 West (Exit 85A), west on I-10 to US 190 B (Fremaux Ave), east on US 190 B (Fremaux Ave) to I-10 Eastbound, east on I-10 to I-59 Northbound.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. No oversized loads greater than 12’ wide will be allowed through the construction zone during lane closures.
