Public Meeting - LA 447 Corridor Study (H.005734) Livingston Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) authorized a Stage 1 Environmental Assessment for the LA 447 Corridor Study. This project will evaluate alternatives to improve the mobility and safety of vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic along the LA 447 corridor in Walker. The proposed northern limit of the study is at the railroad tracks near Keith St. The proposed southern limit is the intersection of LA 447 and LA 16. The overall length of the corridor is approximately 10.2 miles.

The purpose of this Public Meeting is to provide an overview of the proposed project and obtain input from the public regarding possible alternatives. Representatives of LADOTD and the consultant team for the Stage 1 EA will be present to receive comments and answer questions related to the proposed project. All interested parties are invited and encouraged to attend the meeting. The Public Meeting is scheduled for the time, date, and location below.

Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Interested persons may attend the meeting at any time between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. There will be a continuous powerpoint presentation about the project, and the Project Team will be available to answer your questions. Comments may be submitted at the meeting by recording verbal statements or by submitting written statements. Written statements can also be mailed to the address shown below and must be postmarked within 10 calendar days following the meeting.
